Yesterday, on LinkedIn, I posted on Remembering Just Cause where I meandered and mused on meaning, mission and more. I humbly recommend your own meander through. That said, for Epic Engage, I munched on same some more and arrived at:

JUST CAUSE: Forward. Together. Stronger.

MISSION: Helping Leaducators, Communitrepreneurs and Emergents lead, educate, inspire and unite.

VISION: Epic Engage is The Character Leadership Company.

And, I munched on such for me personally.

JUST CAUSE: The Unity of Humankind

MISSION: To study, practice, play and advance on Character Leadership as the path to Unity.

VISION: I am TUG, The Unity Guy.

The simple tweaking of alignment was palpable for me, and it got me ever realizing the importance of Congruence as strength. With Congruence, our thought, will and action are in alignment. Our Integrity is strengthened thusly. As we live that practice of Congruence, our Trustworthiness grows because we say what we mean and mean what we say, we do what we love and love what we do. Our deeds and words align.

It advances our Confidence, because we are more aware of ourselves. We know ourselves better, and live in accordance. It is healthier and happier to do so. And, as I have noted in the past, Purposefulness = Joyfulness.

This is a great practice of Strategy as well. In September, I re-read The War of Art and The Art of War… both highly recommended. I would contend that both spoke to the importance of self knowledge and doing the work as life Strategy, if you will. Part of that work is munching on Just Cause, Mission and Vision… personally and professionally, I suggest.

Part of that work is being courageously honest with ourselves on what truly matters. What is the legacy, we most wish to leave? What mountain do we most want to help move? Is it the wholeness of family and living as Merlin Olsen once wrote?

“The focus of my life begins at home with family, loved ones and friends. I want to use my resources to create a secure environment that fosters love, learning, laughter and mutual success. I will protect and value integrity. I will admit and quickly correct my mistakes. I will be a self-starter. I will be a caring person. I will be a good listener with an open mind. I will continue to grow and learn. I will facilitate and celebrate the success of others.”

… or something akin? Is it one word or once phrase or statement? Is it the strength and health of our community? Is it a profession and its impact on the world? What idea matters so most to us that we must somehow help in moving the needle on it in our lifetime? What is that legacy we have to leave? Our Just Cause matters. It drives our best sense of Mission and Vision. It advances meaning. It sharpens focus.

It is Purposefulness in practice.

It is Congruence and Strategy in powerful and practical practice.

Today, I shared on Facebook…

This morning was like magic. Waking with that one simple thought that brings everything somehow together… unites the armies of the parts of my life… my business, my teaching, my studying, my health and home and happiness. All united with a simple thought. That thought will manifest itself in the next 11 pounds this month… bringing me to 50 down (September was a holding pattern at 39 it seems). That thought will fuel another 43 pounds down by my birthday… another 4 months… for a 93 pound drop. That thought will galvanize my business and teaching and work and even play. And that thought will only be made clear to others in its action. And it will see action. 😉

Just Cause has that impact. Now, the books I choose to read have ever greater joyful meaning. They are congruent ever more so.

I also shared this morning… In September… I re-read The War of Art and The Art of War… two highly recommended reads. Moving on to Character Strengths and Virtues this month… a big chunky cool read it seems. Then Values in November. December will see a number of books devoured passionately. This is my library of focus for the next while. 🙂

My blogs on LinkedIn and here will have ever more Congruence.

The Leaducator.

Deliver.

AukWords.

My virtual conversations will too.

Congruence is not piece meal. It is whole. Getting ever closer to it requires us to get real and honest with what matters most to us.

What matters most to you? What idea or thought or reality matters so much that you will devote yourself to it, and that it will bring you great sustainable and sustaining joy in doing so? Explore that.

My most recent posts on ICCCAN Do It and Within and Without and Building Confidence have had an impact on my own getting to this space and time. The meandering works. Feel free to check out the blogs and meander for meaning. It matters.

Peace, purpose and prosperity.
